This page provides the official OneLaser Approved Antifreeze Guide, helping you protect your laser machine and chiller during winter or low-temperature environments. Based on our testing and research, we recommend two antifreeze solutions and outline the proper steps to prepare, mix, and circulate them safely. Following these instructions helps maintain reliable cooling performance, prevents freezing damage, and extends the lifespan of your equipment.
Based on our testing and research, we recommend adding the two antifreeze solutions recommended in this article to the chiller during winter.
Turning all machine off (chiller and laser machine), drain water away from chiller and then clean the limescale.
Add the water first, then add the antifreeze liquid.
Open the chiller, let the water circulate for 5–10 minutes, then you can start work.
Note:
Antifreeze fluid can degrade over time, increasing its corrosiveness and altering its viscosity. Regular replacement is essential. We recommend changing the water every 2–3 months at room temperature. When temperatures rise above freezing, circulating cooling water can be replaced with softened water, such as distilled or purified water.
Consistency is key: Use the same antifreeze brand. While main components may be similar across brands, additive formulas can vary. Mixing different antifreeze types can lead to chemical reactions, precipitation, or bubbles.
For extended periods of non-use, drain the water from the laser tube, water chiller, and water pipes, especially for glass laser tubes. Failure to follow this procedure can result in laser tube damage, which is not covered by warranty.
This product should be used undiluted only when necessary. When freezing is not a concern, the system should be flushed and refilled with distilled water.

We recommend two models from this brand, but they need to be diluted according to the specified ratio.

Antifrogen® N is a liquid, tinted pale yellow, for use as a heat transfer medium in closed hot water heating systems, heat pumps and as cooling brine in industrial refrigeration equipment. Antifrogen® N is not suitable for the use in food or pharmaceutical applications. Alternatively, the use of Antifrogen® L is recommended. The product is inhibited without the use of nitrites-, amines-, borates-, silicates- and phosphates. The optimization of the corrosion inhibition system was performed without the use of CMR-substances (cancerogenic, mutagenic, reprotoxic).

Antifrogen® L is a clear liquid, tinted blue, for use as a heat transfer medium in heat pump systems and in the food industry, e.g., in breweries, dairies, ice-cream factories, cold stores and fish processing factories. The product is inhibited without the use of nitrites-, amines-, borates-, silicates- and phosphates. The optimization of the corrosion inhibition system was performed without the use of CMR-substances (cancerogenic, mutagenic, reprotoxic).
