Step 1. Open the bottom right door panel of the Hydra machine to locate the switch module shown in the illustration.
Step 2. Confirm if the button 1 is currently pressed on the switch:

Step 3. Start the machine and confirm that the VONETS module is powered on.

Step 1. Locate the Hydra's hotspot module in your computer's Wi-Fi connection list.
Step 2. Based on the hotspot's default IP address, you must change the controller board's IP address accordingly.
Important: When entering the IP address on the Hydra control panel, the xxx part of 192.168.254.xxx must not duplicate the IP address of the hotspot or any other machine on the network.

How to modifying Hydra IP address? ![]() |
The Hydra hotspot does not support internet access. After connecting, your computer will be unable to access the internet. To enable basic internet functionality while connected, we will provide instructions on how to bridge the connection to an upstream router (the user's normal internet-enabled Wi-Fi). Once the initial configuration is complete, the computer can subsequently connect to the Hydra directly through the user's usual Wi-Fi network.
Step 1. Connect your computer normally to the Hydra's hotspot module.
Important: During the bridging process, you must only be connected to the Hydra's hotspot module. Do not connect to any other Wi-Fi or network, otherwise, you will not be able to open the configuration webpage.
Step 2. Once connected to the machine, open your computer's web browser. In the address bar, enter 192.168.254.254 (or http://vonets.cfg) and press Enter to access the setup background of the network bridge.

Step 3. Enter the username and password in the upper right corner of the interface, then click Login to enter. Click Wizard to enter the configuration page.
Step 4. Click Scan Hotspots in the sidebar. Find the target Wi-Fi (the upstream Wi-Fi you normally use for internet access) in the list and click Next.

Step 5. Enter the password for the upstream Wi-Fi. Check the box for Disable Hotspot (do not change any other settings). Click Apply once settings are complete.

Step 6. After completing the settings above, click Reboot on the page.

Step 7. Subsequently, your computer can connect to the Hydra directly through the configured upstream Wi-Fi and will also support internet access. You will need to check the IP address of the upstream Wi-Fi (e.g., 192.168.10.100).
When entering the IP address on the Hydra control panel, the xxx part of 192.168.10.xxx must not duplicate the IP address of the upstream Wi-Fi or any other machine on that network.
Step 1. Open LightBurn. Click Devices to open the connection pop-up window and then click Create Manually.

Step 2. In the next steps of the setup, enter the correct IP address in the IP Address step:

Step 3. The setup and connection are now complete.
1. Cannot Connect to Hydra While on Bridged Wi-Fi?
Since the device utilizes the Wi-Fi 4/5 protocol, if the upstream router being bridged belongs to the newer Wi-Fi 6 protocol, you must enable Wi-Fi 4/5 compatibility on the upstream router for normal communication to occur.
2. Computer Cannot Access the Internet While Connected to Bridged Wi-Fi?
If the distance from the computer to the upstream Wi-Fi is too far, communication performance may decline, affecting internet access. Simply reduce the distance between the computer and the upstream Wi-Fi.
3. How to Restore the VONETS Module to Factory Settings?
After powering on the device for approximately 60 seconds, press and hold the Reset button on the VONETS module for 5 seconds and then release. It will automatically restore to factory settings, which takes about 80 seconds.
