This guide explains how to fix Y-axis guide wheel misalignment when the wheels slip off the rail track. The procedure includes rail base adjustment, slider reinstallation, and final squaring inspection to restore smooth and stable machine movement.
Proper rail alignment is critical to prevent vibration, binding, or uneven travel.
The guide wheels on the Y-axis are misaligned and have slipped off the guide rail track.

Use an M2 Allen key to remove the screws and take off the left side door of the machine.

Use an M4 Allen key to loosen the screws on one side of the guide rail base. Do not remove them completely; just loosen them enough to allow for adjustment.

Gently push the guide rail base inward. This will slightly contract the Y-axis travel space, making it easier to re-seat the wheels.

Fit the slider back into the Y-axis rail groove. Use both thumbs to simultaneously press the guide wheel spring adjustment buttons on the Y-axis slider.
Rotate your left thumb counter-clockwise and your right thumb clockwise. This causes the two inner guide wheels to expand outward (left and right), allowing you to snap the wheels securely back into the Y-axis rail groove.

Return the guide rail to its original position and tighten the screws at the base of the Y-axis rail that were loosened in Step 2.

Use a tape measure to check the diagonal distance between the two Y-axis rails. Both diagonal measurements must be identical to ensure the machine is square.

If the diagonal distances are inconsistent, adjust the position of the two fixing screws on the rail base until the measurements match.
